What's a cookie
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. Cookies can be useful (keeping you logged in) or invasive (following you across the web to build an advertising profile). EU law treats most non-essential cookies as something you have to opt in to. We've designed this site so you almost never have to.
What we use on cloudnovi.com
Here's the complete list of cookies and similar storage that this site sets, who sets them, and why:
Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics. It's cookieless and doesn't fingerprint you. We see things like how many people read the audit page or where traffic came from — never who you are, and never your activity on other sites.
Because no personal data or persistent identifier is involved, this kind of analytics doesn't require a cookie banner under the EU ePrivacy Directive. We also don't run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, Hotjar, or anything similar.
Security cookies
The site sits behind Cloudflare. Cloudflare sets a small number of cookies (__cf_bm, occasionally cf_clearance) to tell automated abuse traffic apart from real visitors and to remember that a security challenge has been passed. These are classed as strictly necessary under the ePrivacy Directive — without them, we'd have to fall back to intrusive CAPTCHAs to keep the site secure. Cloudflare's documentation: developers.cloudflare.com.
The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-respecting alternative to reCAPTCHA. It performs a one-off check at submission time and doesn't profile you across the web.
No marketing or advertising cookies
We don't run remarketing, advertising pixels, A/B-testing tools, session-replay tools, or any third-party tracker that builds a behavioural profile. If we ever add anything that does, it'll appear on this page and behind an explicit opt-in — not a "by continuing to browse you agree" dark pattern.
Consent
Because the only cookies we set are strictly necessary, and our analytics is cookieless and anonymous, we don't show a cookie banner. This is a conscious choice — banners that list "750 partners" are usually a sign that you should be asked, not a sign that the law is being respected.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can clear or block cookies at any time from your browser settings. Helpful guides:
Blocking the Cloudflare security cookies may cause our anti-abuse layer to ask you to solve a challenge before continuing. Everything else on the site keeps working.
Changes
If we add or remove cookies, we'll update the table above and the "last updated" date.
