With clients worldwide, ranging from small consumers to medium-sized businesses with diverse needs and requirements, we are seeking highly skilled individuals to join our prestigious operations team as a dedicated and experienced system and cloud engineer. In this role, our engineers will be managing and maintaining cutting-edge cloud infrastructure and ensuring excellent operation of all our infrastructure.
On a typical day as an engineer at Cloudnovi, you’ll be doing the following:
- Brainstorming new ideas and tools
- Building out new solutions and platforms for clients and our internal projects
- Participate in our 24/7 incident monitoring team
- Be able to participate in deep architectural discussions to build confidence and ensure customer success when building new and migrating existing applications, software, and services
- Be able to write documentation for new and existing solutions for internal and external use.
- Participating in customer standups and meetings
Technologies in our inventory:
- Good ol’ Bash scripts
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible, Cloudformation, …
- Containers: Docker, Kubernetes & AWS ECS
- AWS: Various AWS services such as EC2, RDS, Lambda, API gateway, S3, ….
- Virtualization technologies such as Proxmox, KVM, …
- Various Networking concepts & tools such as IPTables, WAF’s, REST API’s, Cloudflare, nginx, …
- CI/CD tools such as Github Actions, Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, …
What we are looking for:
- We’re hoping you have experience with at least some of the technologies above.
- A degree is not a must. Passion, drive and willingness to learn is. We love giving young individuals the opportunity to develop and educate themselves on the job.
- You are genuinely friendly and have a positive attitude
- Superb communication skills (English) and have great attention to detail. Dutch is a plus.
- Be able to take responsibility for your customers and projects
- Understanding when to ask for assistance, and not being afraid to do so
- Willingness to learn new skills and broaden your area of expertise
- We have a strong preference for European-based employees but are willing to hire off-shore if you’re the right fit.
